Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Komura closes the distance looking to clinch
and Shield counters with a nice body shot.
A head kick misses from Shield.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Komura, right into the meat.
Shield throws a body punch but Komura moves out of range.
Komura keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Komura is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Komura tries to clinch but Shield moves away
and Shield counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Xeyer Komura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shield jumps guard.
Komura seems to have recovered his senses.
Komura wants to stand and escape but instead Shield has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Shield slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Komura has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Shield has passed into side control.
Komura trying his best to control but Shield has mounted him.
Shield scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Shield controlling the position easily from mount.
Shield throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Komura has his hands clasped together but Shield breaks the hold and Komura is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Shield!
