Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rick Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Proffitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robinson comes to the cage accompanied by Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rick Robinson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Proffitt!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Proffitt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Robinson is fending him off so far but Proffitt persists. Nope, Robinson circles away and we're back to standing.
Proffitt takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
A head kick lands from Robinson that sends Proffitt to the canvas. Proffitt tries to scramble back to his feet but Robinson brings him back down into side control.


Proffitt is rocked!
Robinson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Proffitt!
Proffitt is still in real trouble! Can Robinson finish him?
Proffitt really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Robinson controlling the position easily from mount.
Proffitt wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Robinson slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Proffitt seems to have recovered his senses.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Robinson is really struggling to control Proffitt but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Proffitt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Proffitt takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Robinson throws a head kick that Proffitt semi-blocks.
Proffitt fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Proffitt takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Robinson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Proffitt has time to react.
Robinson moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Proffitt goes down! Can Robinson finish him!?

Robinson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Proffitt's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Proffitt tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Proffitt is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Robinson jumps into side control!
Proffitt stops Robinson from passing to mount.
Proffitt is looking for a sweep.
Robinson scores with a couple of short elbows.

Robinson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Proffitt, who protects the arm well.

Proffitt keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Proffitt looks for a takedown but Robinson sprawls well.

Robinson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Robinson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Robinson lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Proffitt sprawling to the canvas. Robinson follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Proffitt hang on?
Proffitt wants to get back to full guard.
Proffitt is breathing heavily.

Proffitt is defending against the submission attempts here by Robinson.

Proffitt is trying to reverse the position but instead Robinson has taken his back - oops!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Proffitt manages to reverse the position and now he's in Robinson's guard. Nice work there by Proffitt.
Proffittis looking to pass into half guard but Robinson pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Robinson is in guard.
Proffitt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Robinson controls the pace.

Proffitt is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Robinson pulls his head out easily.

Robinson wants to finish this one by submission but Proffitt is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Robinson.

Robinson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Proffitt is surviving well by controlling Robinson's body position as best he can.

Robinson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Proffitt's calf.
Proffitt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Robinson looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Proffitt takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Robinson throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Robinson cracks Proffitt with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Proffitt tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Robinson pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Proffitt is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rick Robinson!
