Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gein has chosen Dead Skin Mask as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mike Martin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ed Gein! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Gein rushes Martin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Gein throws a punch but it's blocked by Martin. Martin struggles to land a body shot inside as Gein controls his hands.
Gein is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Martin is defending well for now. Gein prevents a body shot from Martin. Gein throws an elbow but it's blocked.

It looks like Mike Martin has been cut. Martin swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Gein lands a good knee to the midsection. Martin won't want to take too many of those. Martin misses with a hook from the clinch. Martin misses with a short punch on the inside. Martin misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martin gets a trip takedown into half guard. Martin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Martin looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Gein is trying to maintain the position but Martin is very close to passing his half guard. Martin throwing shots but Gein is blocking nicely. Gein is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Martin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gein sees it coming and defends easily. Gein pushes Martin off looking to stand but Martin dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Martin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Martin drops an elbow to the side of Gein's head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gein is trying to stand.

Gein is keeping the position for now. Gein keeping moving, preventing Martin from controlling successfully. Gein is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Martin is aware though and is defending well. Martin works a leg free and moves into half guard. Martin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gein keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Martin prevents Gein from standing back up.

Gein looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Martin passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Martin working away from the top, dropping strikes. Gein takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Martin with a couple of short strikes. Martin landing punches. Martin with good strikes from the mount here! Martin lands a heavy elbow. Gein is squirming around, avoiding Martin's attempts to control the action. Martin lands a heavy elbow. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Martin with a couple of short strikes. Martin landing shots from mount. Martin punishing his opponent with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Martin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mike Martin's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Gein stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Martin. Martin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Martin scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Martin fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gein to the ground. Martin is now in Gein's guard. Martin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Gein wants to stand up but Martin is controlling him. Martin works a leg free and moves into half guard. Martin lands with a punch from half guard. Gein tries to get to full guard but Martin has control of the leg. Martin working Gein over with strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gein regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Martin. Gein is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martin passes easily into side control. Nice work. Martin landing strikes. Gein manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Martin wants to free his trapped foot but Gein is holding on for dear life with his legs. Martin passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gein! Gein in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Martin landing punches. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gein can do anything to dispel that myth. Martin cracks Gein with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Martin trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Martin swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
