Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Eduardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Housei Kage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carlos Eduardo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Housei Kage! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eduardo fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kage shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Eduardo as he jumps to the side. Kage scores with the left hand. Eduardo knows he should have avoided that one. Eduardo thows a body shot but no joy. Eduardo shoots in looking for a takedown. Kage tries to sprawl out of it but Eduardo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kage manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Eduardo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kage counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Eduardo's guard now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Eduardo. That's going to take a lot out of him. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Kage wants to control from the top but Eduardo keeps moving. Eduardo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kage trying to control but Eduardo is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kage prevents Eduardo from getting back to his feet. Kage tries to stand but Eduardo is controlling from the bottom. Kage has gone for a leg lock! Eduardo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kage's guard. Eduardo postures up.
Kage pulls Eduardo in to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Housei Kage was stalling too much, according to the referee. Eduardo throws a right and a left that Kage avoids nicely. Eduardo misses with a takedown attempt and Kage counters with a single leg into guard. Eduardo didn't expect that. Kage is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Eduardo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Eduardo has escaped and now he's on top! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Eduardo advances to half guard. Eduardo throwing shots but Kage is blocking nicely. Kage holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Eduardo wants to advance to full mount but Kage doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Kage not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kage throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Eduardo trying to control the position from guard on top but Kage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kage is trying to control the position but Eduardo postures up. Kage preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Eduardo tries to free his leg and advance position but Kage is retaining full guard. Kage has control of Eduardo's left arm, preventing Eduardo from doing any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Housei Kage was stalling too much, according to the referee. Eduardo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kage tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Eduardo is in Kage's guard. Eduardo is breathing heavily. Kage looking for a guillotine here but Eduardo defends easily.
Kage is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kage is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Eduardo is aware though and is defending well. Eduardo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kage looking for a sweep. Not yet Kage, not yet. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Eduardo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kage is keeping the position for now. Kage utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Housei Kage dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Eduardo drives through with a takedown into Kage's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Kage preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Eduardo works over Kage with some ground and pound from guard. Eduardo chips away with some ground and pound. Kage is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kage keeping full guard, as Eduardo tries to pass. Eduardo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Eduardo advances to half guard. Eduardo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kage won't allow Eduardo to pass to mount. Kage keeps control of the position for the meantime.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eduardo winds up and cracks Kage with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Eduardo thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kage to regain full guard. Eduardo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kage has his hands on Eduardo's head, controlling the position. Kage pushes a forearm under Eduardo's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Eduardo is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
