Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Mousaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otto Vetch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mousaki comes to the cage accompanied by souljacker. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kenji Mousaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Otto Vetch!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mousaki on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Vetch moves out of range of the leg kick from Mousaki.
Vetch connects with a body shot.
Mousaki throws a low kick but Vetch avoids it.
Mousaki misses with a looping right.
Mousaki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vetch circles away quickly and effectively.
Vetch buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Vetch gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nice body punch from Vetch.
Vetch lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Vetch slows down the pace here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vetch works on Mousaki's body with a couple of short punches.

Vetch throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mousaki blocks it with crossed arms.
Vetch swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Vetch looking to throw knees to the head but Mousaki is blocking nicely.

Mousaki ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mousaki no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Vetch postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mousaki is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Vetch, into his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mousaki tries to advance to mount but Vetch denies him.
Vetch is trying to control Mousaki's posture but Mousaki avoids it.
Mousaki misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Vetch sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Mousaki working over Vetch with some ground and pound. Vetch looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mousaki wants to control but Vetch is keeping him busy.

Vetch is defending against the submission attempts here by Mousaki.
Vetch tries to get to full guard but Mousaki has control of the leg.
Mousaki thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vetch's head.

Mousaki looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vetch with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Mousaki passes the guard and advances to mount!
Vetch tries to reverse the position but Mousaki maintains control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mousaki is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Vetch can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Sloppy strikes from Mousaki. Those never looked like landing.
Mousaki misses with a straight left.
Mousaki is looking to slow Vetch down with leg kicks.
Kenji Mousaki is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Vetch with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mousaki to score with a decent uppercut.
Vetch connects with a leg kick. Mousaki looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Vetch dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mousaki. That did some damage!

Vetch is staying active underneath Mousaki, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Mousaki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Vetch is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mousaki scores with a couple of nice shots.
