And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Buckingham tenderised Gracie's leg. Gracie is trying to keep his angry face on.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Buckingham swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Buckingham dips to his left and cracks Gracie with an uppercut!
Buckingham lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Buckingham lands a leg kick that knocks Gracie off balance momentarily.
Buckingham leaves Gracie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gracie keeps the fight on the outside.
Nice takedown defense from Buckingham. No joy for Gracie on that attempt.
Patrick Buckingham has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renzo Gracie.
Buckingham throws a head kick but Gracie moves out of range.

Buckingham lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Gracie fails with the takedown.
Gracie closes the distance and clinches up with Buckingham, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes Buckingham against the cage but Buckingham circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Buckingham connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Buckingham tries to close the distance and clinch but Gracie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Gracie has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Buckingham.
Buckingham moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Gracie fails to land the takedown.
Gracie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Buckingham defends it nicely.
Buckingham gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Buckingham lands an elbow that stopped Gracie in his tracks for a moment.

Gracie tries to score a body lock takedown but Buckingham shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Gracie drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Buckingham gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Buckingham lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Gracie to his knees! Buckingham keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
