Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Sierra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson looks to land a combination. Sierra sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Thompson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sierra looking to score a takedown here. Thompson is defending well but Sierra drives through and ends up in Thompson's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Thompson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Thompson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Sierra is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Sierra connects with a couple of short punches.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sierra seems to be working for a kimura but Thompson defends the submission attempt.

Thompson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sierra stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sierra's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Thompson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sierra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sierra tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sierra has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sierra, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
