Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Justin Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elijah Cao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Justin Hale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Elijah Cao! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hale gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Cao lands with a short shot to the head. Hale scores with an uppercut up the middle. Cao lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Hale wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cao has him pressed against the cage. Cao softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Cao pushes Hale back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Cao lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Cao lands an uppercut. A short right hand to the side of the head by Cao. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hale tries to pull guard but Cao holds him up against the cage and eventually Hale drops back down to his feet.

Cao has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hale clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Cao avoiding Hale 's attempts to control his hands. Cao is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Hale is defending well though. Cao let's go of the attempt for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hale manages to reverse the position and now he's in Cao's guard. Nice work there by Hale.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cao is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hale is aware though and is defending well. Hale trying to control but Cao is working from the bottom. Hale tries to free his leg and advance position but Cao is retaining full guard. Cao had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hale defends it easily. Cao looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Hale wants to control from the top but Cao keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hale stands up from guard. Let's bang! Hale rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cao moves out of range and avoids them all easily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hale wants to land a leg kick but Cao is out of range. Hale takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hale on the wrong end of a nice hook. Hale throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cao counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Justin Hale has been cut. Hale throws a nice looking combination but Cao bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hale looks to score with a jab to the body but Cao is just out of range. Hale misses with a double jab
and Cao counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cao wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hale keeps working. Cao is looking for a kimura here.
Cao seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hale does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Hale is trying to stand back up but Cao is controlling him
Cao is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hale wants to get back to his feet. Still in half guard, Cao seems content to control. Hale makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hale. Cao wants to control from the top but Hale keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cao seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Cao preventing the sweep. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Hale can't keep his opponent in guard - Cao advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Hale looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Cao is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hale doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cao. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cao is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Elijah Cao dominated that round. The cut man is working on Justin Hale's cut. That's time! Hale's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Cao counters with a straight right hand. Cao checks a low kick from Hale. Cao closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cao lands in his opponent's guard. Hale working a defensive guard but Cao passes into half guard.

Hale is refusing to be controlled, as Cao sits in half guard. Cao is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hale keeping moving, preventing Cao from controlling successfully. Hale working a defensive guard but Cao manages to pass into side control anyway.
Cao working away. Hale tries to bench press Cao off him but Cao keeps the position. Cao trying to control the position but Hale is working away. Cao controlling the position. Cao thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cao tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cao has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Cao is trying to get an arm triangle but Hale is defending well. Hale struggling a bit here. Hale is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cao's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Hale is trying to get back to full guard. Cao takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cao is working for a submission of some sort.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Hale clinches up with Cao and pushes him back against the cage. Hale tries to break the clinch but Cao is controlling the position. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Cao creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Cao makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Cao. Cao works on Hale's body with a couple of short punches. Hale wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cao has him pressed against the cage. A short left from Cao. A quick uppercut on the inside from Cao. Elijah Cao seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. A body shot lands from Cao.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cao throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hales head. A nice left hand lands by Cao.

Hale tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cao smiles and moves away.
Hale takes a body punch but keeps moving. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hale has a takedown stuffed. Hale gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cao lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hale backwards. Cao lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hale backwards. A nice right hand lands inside from Cao. Hale misses with a body punch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Cao.
Hale is rocked! Cao scores with a shoulder strike. Oh Hale is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cao scores with a shoulder strike. Cao dips a shoulder and cracks Hale with a mighty uppercut! Hale falls back against the cage and Cao unloads with a barrage of strikes! Hale is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Cao screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Elijah Cao!
