Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Martin Diprivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martinez has chosen Click Click Boom as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Martin Diprivan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Diego Martinez! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diprivan dives in and scores a takedown into Martinez's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Martinez looking for a guillotine here but Diprivan defends easily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Diprivan's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Diprivan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Diprivan wants to control from the top but Martinez keeps moving. Martinez is working an open guard so Diprivan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Diprivan lands a high kick!
Diprivan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Martinez as he jumps to the side. Diprivan throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Martinez closes the distance and clinches. Martinez manages to break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Diprivan throws a sloppy head kick and Martinez moves out of range easily. Martinez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Diprivan.
Diprivan throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Martinez's head. Diprivan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Martinez counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Diprivan is breathing heavily. Diprivan wants to get back to his feet.
Diprivan is staying active underneath Martinez, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Martinez wants to work for an arm triangle but Diprivan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Diprivan wants to get back to his feet. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Martinez lands a nice short elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Martinez in particular looking to stall. Martinez is trying to control. Diprivan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Martinez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Diprivan is just riding it out for now. Martinez eventually gives up the hold. Diprivan is refusing to be controlled, as Martinez sits in half guard. Martinez looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Martinez trying to pass the guard but Diprivan defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martinez wants to stand up but Diprivan is controlling the position.

Diprivan tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Martinez manages to move to mount!
Martinez won't let Diprivan get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Martinez is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Diprivan to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Diprivan shrugs it off. Martinez with good strikes from the mount here! Martinez unloading with bombs! Martinez with good strikes from the mount here! Martinez lands a big elbow. Diprivan trying desperately to get to his feet.
Martinez jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Diprivan manages to avoid the submission attempt. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Martinez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Diprivan has escaped the position, nice work there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diprivan is trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Martinez dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Diprivan tries to sprawl but Martinez drives through with a takedown into half guard. Martinez stops Diprivan from getting back to his feet.
Martinez works his foot free and advances to mount. Martinez lands a big shot there that rocks Diprivan but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Diprivan is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Diprivan in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Diprivan is trying to stand but he's just given Martinez his back. Martinez working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Diprivan is doing well to defend. Martinez seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Diprivan is forced to tap and this one is over!
