And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rex closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Rex looks to land a combination. Esch sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Brandon Esch has been cut.
Rex lands with a shot to the body.
Rex displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Esch throws out the jab.
Esch connects with a body shot that sends Rex's belly button to the back.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A jab from Esch finds it's way through Rex's defenses.
Esch scores with a nice right hand.
Rex closes the distance and clinches up with Esch, looking for a takedown. Rex pushes Esch against the cage but Esch circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Esch sends Rex crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Esch is motioning to the referee to let Rex up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Rex is rocked!
Rex is breathing heavily.
Rex glances at the clock... BAM! Esch nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Rex crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Rex is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Brandon Esch!
