The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ivanov closes the distance and clinches up with Davis, looking for a takedown. Ivanov pushes Davis against the cage but Davis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ivanov shoots in for a double leg but Davis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ivanov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Davis sprawls well. Davis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ivanov gets slowly back to his feet.

Davis clinches up with Ivanov and pushes him back against the cage.

Ivanov lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Davis!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davis can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ivanov is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Davis has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Ivanov is working for a guillotine from mount but Davis frees his head quite easily.

Ivanov is landing with some decent strikes but Davis is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Ivanov is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Davis is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Davis flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Ivanov anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Davis and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Ivanov slips an arm under Davis chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Ivanov has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Ivanov is squeezing on Davis like an anaconda would it's prey. Davis fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
