Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roger Meilindo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Rivers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roger Meilindo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clay Rivers! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Meilindo or perhaps it was just good defense by Rivers which made him look bad. Meilindo doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rivers counters with a takedown into side control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Rivers trying to control the position but Meilindo is working away. Rivers decides to stand back up. Rivers shoots in looking for a takedown but Meilindo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rivers's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Meilindo gets tackled into the cage by Rivers. Rivers maintains the clinch. Meilindo has hold of one of Rivers's legs. Rivers is fighting the takedown attempt but Meilindo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rivers working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Meilindo. Meilindo trying to control the position from guard on top but Rivers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rivers is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rivers is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Meilindo throws a strike but Rivers rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Rivers won't allow Meilindo to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rivers decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Meilindo, up you get! Meilindo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rivers defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roger Meilindo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rivers darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Meilindo is looking to improve his position.
Rivers is trying to control the action in half guard but Meilindo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Meilindo works his way to full guard. Good work. Rivers trying to control the position from guard on top but Meilindo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Meilindo wants to sweep here but Rivers controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rivers wants to control from the top but Meilindo keeps moving. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Rivers is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Clay Rivers wasn't active enough on the ground. Rivers has a takedown stuffed. Rivers shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rivers was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Meilindo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Meilindo tries to get out of the position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! BOOM! Rivers connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Meilindo tries to lock up and control but Rivers gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Rivers working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rivers landing strikes from the mount and Meilindo is in trouble! Meilindo is trying desperately to improve position. Rivers can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Meilindo is looking to escape. Meilindo really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Meilindo manages to regain half guard. Good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meilindo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rivers prevents Meilindo from improving his position. Well, if Rivers is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Meilindo tries to roll over but Rivers keeps him under control. Meilindo tries to kick Rivers off but Rivers keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Rivers trying to control from half guard but Meilindo is working away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rivers missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Meilindo keeps control of the position for the meantime. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clay Rivers dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Meilindo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rivers.
Rivers closes the distance and lands a one-two. Rivers lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Meilindo fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Rivers shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Meilindo's guard. Meilindo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Meilindo has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Rivers missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Meilindo is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rivers trying to control but Meilindo is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Meilindo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Rivers dodges the ground and pound from Meilindo. Rivers wants to control but Meilindo postures up. Rivers is trying to buck Meilindo off. Rivers is working to avoid the ground and pound but Meilindo connects with a decent elbow. Check out the look on Meilindo's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Rivers struggling a bit here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rivers regains half guard. Meilindo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Meilindo lands a heavy elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meilindo cracks Rivers with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Meilindo connects with a bit shot that sees Rivers covering up! More strikes from Meilindo and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Meilindo is our winner by TKO!
