PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chada Zdr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Chada Zdr!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zdr is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by White.
Chada Zdr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
White throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Zdr swings and misses with a shot to the body
and White counters with a big head kick but Zdr shrugs it off.
Zdr looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Zdr throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A shot to the body from Zdr misses

and White counters with a takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Zdr is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked White off and has taken his back!

Zdr is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
White trying to control but not successfully.

Zdr is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
White tries to roll but Zdr sticks to his back.
White is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
White rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Zdr prevents White from improving his position.
Zdr wants to take a breather but White is having none of it.
Zdr wants to stand but his hand is trapped. White uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Zdr being controlled here momentarily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
White trying to keep a closed guard but Zdr is proving a slippery customer.

Zdr decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on White, up you get!
A combination from Zdr does no damage.
Zdr blocks a head kick by White.

White throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Zdr tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. White is in Zdr's guard.
Zdr can't keep his opponent in guard - White advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
It looks like White is going to stand back up.
Zdr is looking to escape.
White is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
White working Zdr over with strikes.
Zdr is staying active underneath White, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Zdr is trying to escape back to his feet but White uses the scramble to pass into side control.
White advances to mount.
White won't let Zdr get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Zdr looks gassed!
White looking to control and managing it successfully.
Zdr is working to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
White is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Zdr can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
White landing punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zdr manages to regain half guard. Good work.

White decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Zdr listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Zdr thows a leg kick but White checks it
and White counters with a one-two to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

White looking to score a takedown here. Zdr is defending well but White drives through and ends up in Zdr's guard.


Zdr is rocked!
White has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
White lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Zdr is still in real trouble! Can White finish him?
Zdr has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but White has passed into side control.

White tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

White has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim White dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


White ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Zdr seems to have recovered his senses.
White uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zdr.
Zdr throws a wild hook but White just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Zdr gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the ropes! The referee jumps in - White raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim White!
