Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Warren Sherriff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chucky Norris !
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norris clinches.
Norris breaks the clinch.
Norris misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sherriff throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sherriff jabs Norris to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Norris avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sherriff throws a sloppy head kick
and Norris counters with a straight right hand.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Norris .
Norris checks a low kick from Sherriff.
Sherriff throws a body punch but Norris moves out of range.
Sherriff takes a swing at Norris 's ribcage but misses.
Norris shoots in for a double leg but Sherriff sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Sherriff looks to land a combination but Norris avoids it well.
Norris will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Warren Sherriff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chucky Norris .
Sherriff misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Norris .
Sherriff fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sherriff lands a left and a right that send Norris crashing to the mat, dazed. Sherriff thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Norris is rocked!
It looks like Chucky Norris has been cut.
Norris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sherriff's waist but Sherriff gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Norris off to one side.
Norris is still on wobbly legs! Can Sherriff finish him?
Norris tries a low kick but Sherriff avoids it.
Sherriff ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Norris 's jaw. Norris 's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Sherriff does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Warren Sherriff!
