The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stiller lands a nice hook to Rua's body. Rua takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Stiller swats away the attempt to clinch by Rua.
Ben Stiller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rua looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Stiller throws a combination that misses
and Rua counters with a single leg into guard. Stiller didn't expect that.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Stiller looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Rua thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rua stands and throws Stiller's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Rua looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rua tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rua has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Stiller tries to improve position but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rua thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Rua has an Americana. Stiller didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rua is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rua hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
