Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tweedle Dee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dee comes to the cage accompanied by Chumbawamba - Tubthumping. Tweedle Dee could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jon Tate's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tweedle Dee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Tate! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dee punishes Tate's body with a nice straight punch. Tate has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dee finds it's way round the side to connect with Tate's head. Dee throws a shot to the body.
Dee connects with a solid leg kick. A swing and a miss from Dee. Dee punishes Tate's body with a nice straight punch. Tate fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dee avoids it really well and circles away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A swing and a miss from Tate. Dee thows a leg kick but Tate checks it and Tate counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dee won't be happy with that. Dee gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Tate prevents Dee from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dee looking for submissions off his back. Dee controlling the position well. Dee is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tate throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Tate missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dee wants to control but Tate is keeping busy and won't allow it. Tate sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Dee defending well though. Tate is thwarting Dee's attempts to control the position. Tate not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dee is trying is best to control the position here.
We're going to have a standup here because Tweedle Dee wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Tate has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dee. Dee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tate. Tate moves out of range of the leg kick from Dee. Dee lunges at Tate with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tate's hand. Dee defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tate. Dee slips a jab from Tate. Tate fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Tweedle Dee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Tate. Dee takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Tate throws a lazy right hand but Dee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tate scores a takedown into full mount! This has been an exciting period of action! Dee tries to hold on but Tate pushes him away. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dee taking shots to the head. Tate wants to control but instead Dee manages to regain half guard. Dee makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dee. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tweedle Dee dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Dee throws a looping overhand right but Tate ducks down to avoid it. Tate takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nice cross by Tate. Tate waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dee. A jab lands there for Tate. Tate closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dee circles away. Dee slips a straight right by Tate. Dee scores with a hook. Tweedle Dee is winning the standup battle so far. Dee misses with a wild combination.
Tate needs to keep his hands up - Dee had a free shot at his head there.
Tate is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tate walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Dee swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tweedle Dee!
