The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Gonzalez is wriggling around trying to escape.
Gonzalez is working hard here to advance position.

Mendez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gonzalez kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
