Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mariusz Pudsz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor The Last Drinker! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Last Drinker swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pudsz misses with a shot to the body and The Last Drinker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The Last Drinker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pudsz scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Fedor The Last Drinker has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Pudsz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Pudsz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but The Last Drinker manages to avoid it. The Last Drinker is looking to clinch but Pudsz is avoiding it.
Pudsz gets a takedown into half guard. Pudsz is keen to just control but The Last Drinker is a slippery customer. Pudsz is working for a kimura but The Last Drinker is defending it quite comfortably.
Pudsz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Last Drinker avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pudsz. Pudsz tries to pass to full mount but The Last Drinker defends it. The Last Drinker is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pudsz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed The Last Drinker's head. Pudsz sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. The Last Drinker defending well though. Pudsz frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Pudsz lands a heavy elbow. The Last Drinker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pudsz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The Last Drinker looks gassed! BOOM! Pudsz connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The cut above Fedor The Last Drinker's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Pudsz cracks The Last Drinker with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Fedor The Last Drinker's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Fedor The Last Drinker's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Mariusz Pudsz!
