Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Field (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dustin James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kyle Field! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dustin James! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Field shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says James as he avoids it easily. James clinches with his opponent.
Field stops a takedown attempt from James.
Field is fighting off a takedown attempt but James is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Field to the mat. Field regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Field keeping full guard, as James tries to pass. Field preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Field not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Field is trying to keep James in close.
James is looking to stand up but Field won't let him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. James rushes Field and presses him up against the cage. James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. James throws a head kick but Field moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. James fails with the takedown. Field lands a jab-cross combination. Field moves out of range of the body kick. Field shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as James sprawls well. James wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Field gets slowly back to his feet. James will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Nice sprawl there from James as Field shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Field. That's going to take a lot out of him. James avoids the body shot from Field.
Field tries to sprawl but James drives through with a takedown into half guard. James wants to pass the guard but Field is defending well. Field works his way to full guard. Good work. James looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Field had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. James defends it easily. James wants to stand and escape but instead Field has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Field stopping the sweep attempt from James. Field has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Field postures up in James's guard and throws a big left but James blocks it. James trying to control the position.
Field is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! James is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! James has escaped and now he's on top!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Field trying to keep a closed guard but James is proving a slippery customer.
James trying to control the position from guard on top but Field is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. James stands up from guard. Let's bang! Field stuffs the takedown attempt from James. James gets slowly back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Field dives in and grabs James's left leg, looking for a takedown. James pushes down on Field's head and hops out. Field misses with a takedown attempt - James sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Field closes the distance and clinches up with James, looking for a takedown. Field pushes James against the cage but James circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Good shot there by James. James scores a takedown into full mount! Field tries to hold on but James postures up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. James lands with some strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Field is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dustin James dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Field shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. James defends it nicely. James shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. James showed some decent athleticism there. James gets to his feet - back to striking we go! James tries for a takedown but Field sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Field shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts James as he jumps to the side. James fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Field throws a body kick that misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Field gets a takedown into half guard. James looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Field seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but James does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. James is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Field pulls his head out easily. Ground and pound from Field. James taking some punishment here, with Field in his half guard. Field takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Field wants to stand but James has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. James is defending against the submission attempts here by Field.
James is looking to improve his position.
Field working James over with strikes. Field throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Field is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. James doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Field. That's four minutes gone in the round. Field tries to stand but can't do so whilst James controls his leg. James tries to get to full guard but Field has control of the leg. Field is sneakily working for an arm triangle but James sees it coming and defends easily. Field decides to return to a standing position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. James fails in his attempt to clinch. Kyle Field seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Field shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says James as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Field. That's going to take a lot out of him. James clinches up against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James drives through with a takedown into guard. James looking to sit in guard and control but Field gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Field stands up from guard. Let's bang! James stuffs the takedown. James tries to clinch up. Field fails with the takedown. James shoots in and bounces Field off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. James preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Field is working hard here to advance position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. James trying to control the position from guard on top but Field is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. James slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. James trying to control but Field is working from the bottom.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dustin James wasn't active enough on the ground. James gets a clinch. Field wants to break free but James has control.
Field is trying to break the clinch but James is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Field uses from the top position. James is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. James is looking to advance position but Field won't allow it. Still in half guard, James seems content to control. Field wants to get back to full guard but James has passed into side control. Field is looking to reverse the position. A control attempt from Field but he's now mounted!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Field wants to control but James is having none of it. James has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Field's face.
Field tries to get back to half guard but can't. James putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! James raining down shots from the mount! James content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James trying to control but he's not successful this time. James prevents Field from getting the reversal. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Poor strikes thrown by James there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

And that's the end of the fight! Dustin James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well James has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
