Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Travis Koenig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric McDowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koenig kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Du Hast. McDowell comes into a darkened arena with his song building. California Love kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Travis Koenig has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Koenig has managed to clinch.
Koenig putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has McDowell in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Koenig prevents McDowell from breaking the clinch.
McDowell jumps guard but Koenig stands there with McDowell around his waist. McDowell gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
McDowell wants to get back to striking at distance but Koenig won't allow it.
Koenig lands an uppercut.
McDowell is trying to break the clinch but Koenig is controlling him.
McDowell has had enough of the clinch but Koenig keeps him there for the moment.

Koenig gets control of McDowell's arms and successfully pulls guard. Koenig will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Koenig wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
McDowell throws and elbow that misses. Koenig uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McDowell's guard. Nice move by Koenig!
McDowell wants to stand but Koenig is controlling the position.
Koenig is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Koenig won't allow McDowell to get back to his feet.
McDowell is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Koenig dives into side control.
Koenig takes a little break here. McDowell wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Koenig really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

McDowell is trying to get back to his feet.
Koenig controls the position from side control.
Koenig lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear McDowell down.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Koenig is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McDowell has escaped the position, nice work there.
Koenig lands a decent elbow from side control.
Koenig works to advance to full mount. McDowell defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
McDowell is bucking up trying to escape but Koenig cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
McDowell looks gassed!
Koenig tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Koenig is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Koenig extends the arm and McDowell is forced to tap!
