Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Markus St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Markus St Pierre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul White! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White throws a sloppy head kick and St Pierre moves out of range easily. St Pierre fails with the takedown and White counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. No luck for St Pierre with that takedown attempt. St Pierre shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. White defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Markus St Pierre. That's going to take a lot out of him. St Pierre shoots for a takedown but White saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. White lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

White fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with St Pierre, pushing him back against the cage. St Pierre goes for a takedown attempt but White pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. White closes the distance and pushes St Pierre back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. St Pierre tries to score a body lock takedown but White shows good agility there to stay on his feet. White drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
St Pierre tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. White smiles and moves away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. St Pierre fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but White avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. White tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. White scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. St Pierre shoots in looking for a takedown. White tries to sprawl out of it but St Pierre keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. White manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. St Pierre shoots and misses enabling White to counter with a crisp jab. White takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. St Pierre on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! White digs a good hook to St Pierre's body.
St Pierre is breathing heavily. St Pierre defends well against a solid takedown attempt from White. White missing with a left hand there. St Pierre was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. St Pierre shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and White counters with a straight punch to the midsection. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul White dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
White bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps St Pierre's head backwards. A jab from White does it's job there. St Pierre has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. St Pierre misses with a two punch combination.
White throws a series of punches but St Pierre moves out of range. St Pierre takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. White changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. St Pierre looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. This has been an exciting period of action! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. St Pierre is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on White's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but White pulls his head out easily. St Pierre looking for submissions off his back. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. White in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. St Pierre tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from White!
