Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Teppo Joonatan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Glad Tihata!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Joonatan misses.
Joonatan shoots in but Tihata avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Joonatan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tihata as he jumps to the side.
Tihata moves in looking to clinch but Joonatan pushes him off.
Tihata fails with an attempt to clinch.
Joonatan shoots in looking for a takedown. Tihata tries to sprawl out of it but Joonatan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Tihata manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teppo Joonatan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Joonatan lands a nice shot to the body.
Tihata slips under a jab.
A decent looking cross lands there for Joonatan.
Tihata is looking to clinch but Joonatan is avoiding it.
Tihata doesn't manage to clinch there - Joonatan circles away.
Joonatan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tihata looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Joonatan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Tihata tries to get to full guard but Joonatan has control of the leg.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Joonatan wants to pass the guard but Tihata is defending well.

Joonatan is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Tihata still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Tihata has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Joonatan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tihata manages to avoid it.

Horrible takedown by Joonatan or perhaps it was just good defense by Tihata which made him look bad.
Tihata shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Joonatan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Joonatan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Tihata wants to stand but Joonatan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Joonatan has his foot on Tihata's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tihata works his way back into a safe position though.

Joonatan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tihata doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tihata manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Joonatan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tihata can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Joonatan looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Tihata is defending well. Joonatan quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Tihata has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Joonatan celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.
