The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hanson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ribeiro somewhat.
Ribeiro gets tackled into the cage by Hanson. Hanson maintains the clinch.
Ribeiro tries to land knees in the clinch but Hanson avoids the damage to the body.
A short left from Hanson.
Hanson wants the takedown. Ribeiro is fighting it off but Hanson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Ribeiro's guard against the cage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Hanson postures up in Ribeiro's guard and throws a big left but Ribeiro blocks it.
Ribeiro avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Ribeiro has his foot on Hanson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hanson works his way back into a safe position though.

Ribeiro might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hanson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Ribeiro goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hanson turns into him and now he's in Ribeiro's guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ribeiro bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hanson's guard.

Ribeiro is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Hanson has his hands clasped together but Ribeiro extends an breaks Hanson's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Ribeiro.
