Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Felix Pomfrey!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dog Catcher!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Catcher gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Catcher not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pomfrey wants to control from the top but Catcher keeps moving.
Catcher trying to control the position.
Catcher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pomfrey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pomfrey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pomfrey wants to pass the guard but Catcher is keeping the position.
Catcher is looking for a triangle but Pomfrey pushes his legs off easily.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Catcher gets caught flat footed, as Pomfrey shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Pomfrey wants to control from the top but Catcher keeps moving.
Pomfrey thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Pomfrey wants to pass the guard but Catcher is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Catcher is controlling Pomfrey's posture.
Catcher looking for a sweep. Not yet Catcher, not yet.
Pomfrey drops back looking for a leg! Catcher is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Catcher manages to kick Pomfrey off! Pomfrey jumps back into Catcher's guard.
Catcher looking for a guillotine here but Pomfrey defends easily.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pomfrey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Catcher looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Catcher sneaks back into half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Catcher is pressing down on Pomfrey's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Catcher tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Pomfrey is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Pomfrey is breathing heavily.
Catcher looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pomfrey is one step ahead there.
Catcher is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Catcher looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Pomfrey is posturing up here but Catcher has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Pomfrey tries to roll out but it's too tight and Pomfrey has to tap! Slick submission there by Catcher!
