Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arai closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Arai lands in his opponent's guard.
Daraz throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Daraz is trying to control the position but Arai postures up.
Arai wants to control from the top but Daraz keeps moving.
Arai is really struggling to control Daraz but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Arai gets to his feet - Daraz follows without any prompting.
Arai has a takedown stuffed.
Daraz shoots in looking for a takedown. Arai tries to sprawl out of it but Daraz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Arai manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Daraz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Arai avoids it really well and circles away.
A low kick from Arai is predictable there
and Daraz counters by clinching up.
Daraz is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Arai gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Hajime Arai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pawel Daraz.
Daraz is looking to control Arai's arms but Arai gets an underhook and turns him. Now Daraz has his back to the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Arai jumps guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Arai scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Daraz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Arai counters with a nice double leg into side control. Daraz won't be happy with that.
Daraz throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Daraz trying to control but Arai flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Daraz staying busy and making it hard for Arai to control.
Daraz is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Daraz looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Arai is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Daraz has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Arai has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Daraz taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Arai doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hajime Arai!
