Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Zat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Zat might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Open your eyes by Alter Bridge. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gabriel Zat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Striker! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zat shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Zat misses with a head shot. Zat sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zat throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Zat raining down shots from the mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zat dominating with strikes here. Zat throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Striker because Zat loaded up on that one. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zat throwing strikes here but Striker is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zat wants to control the pace but Striker is squirming around nicely. Zat looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Zat throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Striker because Zat loaded up on that one. Striker blocking the ground and pound. Zat controlling the pace for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Striker is squirming around, avoiding Zat's attempts to control the action. Zat punching from mount but Striker doing a good job of avoiding damage. Zat is working for a guillotine from mount but Striker frees his head quite easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Zat prevents Striker from getting the reversal. Zat throws some wild stikes that Striker manages to avoid easily.
Striker has left one of his arms exposed and Zat doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Striker screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Gabriel Zat!
