Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ichi Go (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendall Mitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kendall Mitch is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ichi Go! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kendall Mitch! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mitch clinches with his opponent.
Go is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mitch is defending well for now. Mitch throws a knee to the head but misses.
Mitch pulls Go into guard.
Go stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mitch swivels though and keeps the full guard. Go drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mitch dives on top into guard. Go seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Go might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mitch postures up in Go's guard and throws a big left but Go blocks it. Mitch is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Go is pulling down on Mitch's head to control his posture. Mitch thows a big elbow that misses.
We're going to have a standup here because Ichi Go wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Mitch tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Go looks for a takedown but Mitch sprawls well. A head kick by Mitch misses and Go counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mitch's guard now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Go stops Mitch from standing up. Go thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Go looking to pass the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Go pushes down on Mitch's leg and manages to get into half guard. Mitch pushes Go off and gets back to his feet. Go shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mitch defends it nicely. A head kick misses from Mitch. Mitch tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Go blocks a head kick by Mitch.
Kendall Mitch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Go avoids the head kick by Mitch.
Mitch throws a sloppy head kick and Go moves out of range easily. A head kick misses from Mitch. Mitch throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mitch fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Go to the ground. Mitch is now in Go's guard. Mitch looks gassed! Go looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mitch with a flurry of punches that miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ichi Go will probably get the nod. That's time! Go's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Go misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Go looks for a takedown but Mitch sprawls well. Mitch tries a head kick but it misses.

Go gets tackled into the cage by Mitch. Mitch maintains the clinch. Mitch throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Go blocks it with crossed arms. Go has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mitch is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ichi Go. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mitch lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Ichi Go has been cut. Mitch with a knee to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mitch throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Go blocks it with crossed arms. Go throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Go keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mitch's efforts to push away. Go looking to throw knees to the head but Mitch is blocking nicely.
Go tries to land knees in the clinch but Mitch avoids the damage to the body. Go fails to pull the fight into his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mitch escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mitch throws a head kick that misses. Go shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mitch throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Mitch pushes Go up against the cage in a clinch. Go tries to pull guard but Mitch holds him up against the cage and eventually Go drops back down to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Go pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mitch is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Go is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mitch is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mitch has escaped and now he's on top! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mitch thows a big elbow that misses. Go managing to control the position. Go has a closed guard, preventing Mitch from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Go utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Mitch thows a big elbow that misses. Go seems keen to control Mitch's posture. Mitch chips away with some ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mitch would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kendall Mitch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Ichi Go's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Mitch shoots in and gets a takedown into Go's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Go trying to control the position here. Go avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Go looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Mitch is looking to work some ground and pound but Go has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mitch chips away with some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Go is pulling down on Mitch's head. It's preventing any offense from Mitch, at least for the moment. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Mitch is looking to stand up but Go won't let him. Go preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Go avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Mitch trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Mitch must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mitch wants to pass the guard but Go is keeping the position. Mitch wants to stand but Go is controlling his posture from full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mitch accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Mitch wants to get up but he can't break Go's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Mitch throwing strikes from guard but Go blocks nicely. Mitch is looking to work some ground and pound but Go has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Go seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Mitch working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Mitch with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Go utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mitch in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Go could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Go is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Kendall Mitch comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mitch has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
