Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Stinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Stinger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Lopez!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lopez swats away the attempt to clinch by Stinger.
Stinger tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lopez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lopez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mark Stinger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lopez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stinger pinned against the cage. Stinger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Stinger stalks Lopez and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lopez's face. Lopez staggers backwards, shaken.

Stinger is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lopez's half guard.

Stinger is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Lopez is trying to maintain the position but Stinger is very close to passing his half guard.
Stinger throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lopez wants to stand back up but Stinger manages to pass into side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stinger creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Lopez sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Stinger will probably get the nod.

Stinger stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stinger wants it to stay on the feet.

Stinger lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
