Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maciej Jewtuszko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Soares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Maciej Jewtuszko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Soares!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soares is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jewtuszko sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Soares keeps the fight on the outside.

Jewtuszko gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Jewtuszko ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jewtuszko no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Jewtuszko pulls Soares in close to his closed guard and prevents Soares from doing any damage or advancing position.

Jewtuszko is looking for a triangle but Soares pushes his legs off easily.
Jewtuszko is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Soares is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jewtuszko can't keep his opponent in guard - Soares advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jewtuszko is trying to stand up here but Soares is controlling him well.

Soares wants to advance to full mount but Jewtuszko doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

That was a close round but I would say that Maciej Jewtuszko will probably get the nod.

Soares tries for a takedown but Jewtuszko sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Soares rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jewtuszko moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jewtuszko tries to close the distance and clinch but Soares swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Soares slips a jab and a cross from Jewtuszko.

Soares shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Jewtuszko manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Maciej Jewtuszko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Soares misses with a jab, cross combination.
Soares is breathing heavily.

Jewtuszko scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Jewtuszko remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Soares is refusing to be controlled, as Jewtuszko sits in half guard.

Maciej Jewtuszko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jewtuszko decides to stand and escape the position.

Jewtuszko closes the distance and clinches.
A battle for position here, against the cage.

Soares is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jewtuszko is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Soares to the mat. Soares regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Jewtuszko has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Jewtuszko's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Jewtuszko won't allow Soares to sweep him here.
Soares is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Jewtuszko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Soares has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jewtuszko has managed to get both his arms back between Soares's legs - danger averted.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Jewtuszko shoots in and bounces Soares off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jewtuszko in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Jewtuszko would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Jewtuszko postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Soares wants to stand and escape but Jewtuszko is having none of it.

Jewtuszko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jewtuszko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jewtuszko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Soares swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Soares is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Jewtuszko stands up from Soares's guard - Jewtuszko perhaps looking for a knockout.

Soares gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Soares is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jewtuszko has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Soares clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Soares looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
I really don't envy Soares right now.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

You can see the frustration on Soares's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Jewtuszko doesn't have the hooks in and Soares manages to turn into his guard.
Jewtuszko is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Maciej Jewtuszko showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Jewtuszko has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
