Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Thomison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzalez has chosen eye of the tiger as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez walks into a straight right hand from Thomison.
Thomison scores with a head kick.
It looks like Diego Gonzalez has been cut.
Thomison throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gonzalez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Gonzalez tries to clinch up.
Thomison misses with a takedown attempt - Gonzalez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Thomison.
Thomison drops Gonzalez with a right and a left! Thomison comes rushing in but Gonzalez regains his composure and manages to keep Thomison in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Thomison slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gonzalez trying his best to control but Thomison has mounted him.

Thomison prevents Gonzalez from getting the reversal.
Thomison wants to control the pace but Gonzalez is squirming around nicely.

Thomison has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thomison can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gonzalez is looking to escape.
