Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Caleb Esch! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Esch lands a lovely overhand right. Esch displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Cutting closes this distance looking for a takedown but Esch circles away. Cutting shoots for a takedown but Esch saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Cutting. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bill Cutting. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck for Cutting with that takedown attempt. Cutting misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Esch.
Cutting shoots for a double leg takedown but Esch sprawls well. He's pushed Cutting's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Esch paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Esch lands with an overhand left. This has been an exciting period of action! Esch lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Cutting misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Cutting is breathing heavily. Esch tries to sprawl but Cutting drives through with a takedown into half guard. Esch wants to get back to full guard. Esch should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Esch wants to control but Cutting is keeping busy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Esch can do anything to dispel that myth. Cutting not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Esch has eaten all the pies! Esch tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Cutting manages to move to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cutting jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Esch manages to avoid the submission attempt. Cutting landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Cutting working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Cutting advances to mount. Cutting punching from mount but Esch doing a good job of avoiding damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cutting trying to control but Esch is having none of it. Cutting unloading with bombs! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cutting working for a submission but Esch is keeping him at bay. Cutting is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Esch can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cutting throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Esch has his hands clasped together but Cutting breaks the hold and Esch is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Cutting!
