Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stran Gler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mac Hansen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stran Gler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Mac Hansen! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Gler fails in his attempt to clinch. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gler. Gler shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Gler looks for a takedown but Hansen sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stran Gler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hansen throws a sloppy head kick and Gler moves out of range easily. Gler misses with a low kick. A slapping leg kick lands for Hansen.
Gler doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Gler gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Stran Gler has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gler changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hansen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Gler sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hansen is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Gler throws a strike aimed at the side of Hansen's head but Hansen avoids it well. Gler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansen pushes Gler away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gler gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Hansen wants to control but Gler postures up. Gler sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hansen is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Gler tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Gler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hansen keeps working. Hansen managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Gler.

But no, Hansen has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gler but great work by Hansen. Gler tries to buck Hansen off but Hansen is having none of it. Gler struggling a bit here. Hansen decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gler fails with the takedown and Hansen counters with a nice uppercut. Hansen lands a body shot.
Hansen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gler circles away quickly and effectively. Gler misses with a takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Gler is breathing heavily. Hansen thows a body kick. Gler tries to catch it but that hurt him. Hansen bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hansen pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gler back to the cage. Hansen follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Hansen scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Hansen drops Gler with a beautiful combination! Gler stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hansen is looking for the KO!
Gler is rocked! Hansen connects with a stiff jab that staggers Gler - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mac Hansen! After winning the bout, Mac Hansen thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
