Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Crazy Eyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Wilkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eyes comes to the cage accompanied by like a virgin. Wilkinson has chosen Fight To Win as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Crazy Eyes has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Crazy Eyes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clay Wilkinson! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Columbo Gatti and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilkinson shoots in for a double leg but Eyes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wilkinson misses with a takedown and Eyes counters with a leg kick. Wilkinson is looking to clinch. Wilkinson misses with a takedown attempt - Eyes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Crazy Eyes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clay Wilkinson. Wilkinson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Wilkinson tries to clinch but Eyes moves out of range. Eyes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Eyes throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Wilkinson.
It looks like Clay Wilkinson has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wilkinson has Eyes up against the cage in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Eyes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Eyes throws a quick inside leg kick. Eyes plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Wilkinson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Eyes counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Eyes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Wilkinson can pounce on him.

Eyes circles away from the clinch attempt and Eyes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Eyes throws a sloppy head kick and Wilkinson counters with a lovely shot to the body. Eyes circles away from the clinch attempt.

Eyes throws a right and a left that Wilkinson avoids nicely. Eyes is breathing heavily. Wilkinson misses with a takedown attempt - Eyes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Wilkinson shoots in for a double leg but Eyes sprawls well. Eyes throws a head kick that misses. Wilkinson shoots in looking for a takedown but Eyes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wilkinson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wilkinson goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Wilkinson on the wrong end of a nice hook. Eyes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilkinson jumps guard but Eyes turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Wilkinson jumps guard and drags Eyes to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Wilkinson controls Eyes momentarily but Eyes frees himself. Eyes content to stall in guard here. Wilkinson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wilkinson trying to keep a closed guard but Eyes is proving a slippery customer.

Crazy Eyes dominated that round. The cut man is working on Clay Wilkinson's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Wilkinson instigates a clinch. Eyes is trying to break free. Wilkinson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Wilkinson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Eyes after a bit of a struggle. Wilkinson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Eyes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Wilkinson staying out of range there. Wilkinson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Eyes counters with a big head kick but Wilkinson shrugs it off. Crazy Eyes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A telegraphed right hand from Eyes misses the target. Eyes tries a head kick but it misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wilkinson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Crazy Eyes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clay Wilkinson. Nice sprawl there from Eyes as Wilkinson shoots in. Horrible takedown by Wilkinson or perhaps it was just good defense by Eyes which made him look bad. Wilkinson is breathing heavily. Crazy Eyes is winning the standup battle so far. Eyes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wilkinson. Eyes clinches.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A clash of legs there as Wilkinson blocks the low kick. Wilkinson is looking to clinch. Eyes takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wilkinson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wilkinson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Wilkinson dives in and scores a takedown into Eyes's guard. Wilkinson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Eyes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wilkinson, into his guard. Wilkinson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Wilkinson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Eyes is controlling him. Eyes's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Eyes being controlled here momentarily. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Clay Wilkinson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Nice takedown defense from Eyes. No joy for Wilkinson on that attempt. Eyes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Wilkinson fails in his attempt to clinch. Eyes connects with a leg kick. A slapping body kick lands there for Wilkinson. Eyes misses with a head kick.

Wilkinson smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Wilkinson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Eyes quickly recovers to half guard. Wilkinson is keen to just control but Eyes is a slippery customer. Wilkinson is looking for a kimura here.

Wilkinson is looking to clinch. Wilkinson wants to clinch up but Eyes keeps it at a distance. Wilkinson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Eyes sprawls well. Eyes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wilkinson gets slowly back to his feet. Wilkinson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Crazy Eyes. I think Eyes has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
