Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Dez lands a nice hook to Hawke's body. Hawke takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Van Dez lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Hawke keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Van Dez.
Van Dez misses with a few strikes there.
Hawke takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Van Dez lands with an uppercut that bounces Hawke off the ropes and back into range.
Van Dez looks to score with a jab to the body but Hawke is just out of range.
Van Dez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hawke.
Hawke steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Van Dez.
Van Dez takes a swing at Hawke's ribcage but misses.

and Hawke counters with a single leg into guard. Van Dez didn't expect that.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Van Dez can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hawke drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Hawke seems to have locked his on tight now - Van Dez screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Hawke, as he picks up the win!
