Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yuri The Jackal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Browne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yuri The Jackal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Travis Browne!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Browne tries for a takedown but The Jackal circles away easily

and The Jackal counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Browne's guard now.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The Jackal stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Browne swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Browne looking to hit a scissor sweep but The Jackal is one step ahead there.
The Jackal looking to sit in guard and control but Browne gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The Jackal is pulling down on Browne's head to control his posture.
Browne engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Jackal is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The Jackal is pulling down on Browne's head. It's preventing any offense from Browne, at least for the moment.
Browne wants to control from the top but The Jackal keeps moving.
Browne must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The Jackal decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The Jackal drives through with a takedown into Browne's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

The Jackal is looking to work some ground and pound but Browne has wrist control.

Browne is wriggling around but The Jackal manages to pass to half guard.
Browne is staying active underneath The Jackal, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The Jackal is nestled in close to Browne, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. The Jackal connects with a nice short shot to Browne's temple.

The Jackal stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Yuri The Jackal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The Jackal shoots in for a takedown but Browne shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
The Jackal shoots for a double leg takedown but Browne sprawls well. He's pushed The Jackal's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The Jackal is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Browne's half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Browne sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed The Jackal's guard.
It looks like Browne is going to stand back up.
The Jackal holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Browne is just content to waste time from the top position. The Jackal takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The Jackal shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Browne sprawls well. Browne wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. The Jackal gets slowly back to his feet.

The Jackal has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Yuri The Jackal will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Browne shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts The Jackal as he jumps to the side.
The Jackal shoots in but no luck this time.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Browne wants to clinch up but The Jackal keeps it at a distance.
Travis Browne has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yuri The Jackal.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for The Jackal, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
