The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Redmond misses with a takedown attempt and Eastman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Redmond trying to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jay Redmond. Redmond shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Eastman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Redmond's guard now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Eastman tries to free his leg and advance position but Redmond is retaining full guard. Eastman postures up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jay Redmond hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Redmond shoots and misses and Eastman counters with a shoot takedown. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of James Eastman. Redmond with a lazy takedown attempt and Eastman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Redmond's guard. Eastman is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
