Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maximo Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Barros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago checks a leg kick nicely.
Drago's jab looks to have found its range, popping Barros under the eye.
Drago lands a nice looking body shot.
Barros uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Drago.
Barros throws a leg kick that is checked
and Drago counters with a head kick. That will keep Barros thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Drago counters with a nice uppercut.

The fighters circling - Barros throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Barros drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Barros is looking to work some ground and pound but Drago has wrist control.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Barros accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Barros postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Barros throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Drago works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Drago on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Drago tries to get out of the position.
Barros is looking to work some ground and pound but Drago has wrist control.
Barros in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Barros looking to sit in guard and control but Drago gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Barros is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barros working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Drago doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Drago manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Barros wants to sweep but no luck.

Drago is sitting in close to Barros's body. Barros has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Drago is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Drago is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Barros.
