Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pablo Escobar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Royce Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt
and Gracie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Escobar throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gracie on the side of the head.
Gracie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Escobar avoids it really well and circles away.
Gracie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Escobar keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Escobar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.
Escobar tries to improve position but can't.
Gracie is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Escobar looks calm but he's in trouble here. Gracie gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Escobar is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gracie lets go of the hold and Escobar can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Royce Gracie!
