Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Scott Sylva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiger Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sylva's entrance music is Bulletproof. A fine choice. Scott Sylva could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tiger Steele's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Sylva!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tiger Steele!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sylva throws a shot from downtown. Steele moves away and avoids it.
Sylva throws a right hand that Steele ducks under and follows up with a left that Steele also avoids with ease.
Sylva throws a front kick that sends Steele stumbling back into the ropes.
Steele throws a shot from downtown. Sylva moves away and avoids it.
Sylva fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Steele.
Sylva smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Sylva is looking to slow Steele down with leg kicks.
Steele walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Steele misses with a hook.

Steele misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sylva.
Sylva checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Sylva smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Sylva throws a sloppy head kick and Steele moves out of range easily.
Steele takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Sylva takes a swing at Steele's ribcage but misses.
Steele tries to land a leg kick but Sylva saw it coming and moves away.
Steele gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sylva checks a leg kick nicely.
Steele tries to work over Sylva's front leg with a kick but Sylva checks it.
Steele closes the distance and clinches up with Sylva, looking for a takedown. Steele pushes Sylva against the ropes but Sylva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Steele is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Steele uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sylva.

Steele misses with an uppercut.
Sylva scores with a decent looking hook.
Sylva lands a head shot.
That kick from Sylva tenderised Steele's leg. Steele is trying to keep his angry face on.

Steele tried to score with a low kick but Sylva checks it.
Steele misses with a leg kick
and Sylva counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Steele wants to land a leg kick but Sylva is out of range.

and Steele takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Steele is still on wobbly legs! Can Sylva finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Steele swings for the body but Sylva moves out of range.

Steele throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Sylva is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Steele takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Sylva connects with a looping right hand.
Steele bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

A low kick from Steele is predictable there
and Sylva counters with a nice uppercut.
Steele misses with a looping right.
Sylva's jab looks to have found its range, popping Steele under the eye.
Sylva lands a head shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Steele takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Sylva throws a looping overhand right but Steele ducks down to avoid it.
Sylva stuns Steele with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Steele throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sylva counters with a nice uppercut.
Steele shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Tiger Steele seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sylva blocks a head kick by Steele.
Sylva avoids the head kick by Steele.
Sylva looks to land a right hand but Steele moved out of range.
Steele throws a head kick but Sylva moves out of range.
Sylva lands with a hook. Steele tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Nice sprawl there from Sylva as Steele shoots in.
Sylva lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Steele throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sylva buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sylva plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Sylva lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Steele backs up against the ropes.
Sylva misses with a kick to the body.
Steele misses with an uppercut.
Steele throws a lazy head kick
and Sylva counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Steele is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nice straight punches there by Sylva. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sylva.
Steele throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steele has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Sylva throws a half hearted mid kick.
A bone on bone clash there as Sylva blocks the leg kick.
Sylva moves out of range of the body kick from Steele.
Steele scores with a nice right hand.

Sylva scores with the left hand. Steele knows he should have avoided that one.

Sylva throws the kick towards the body but Steele avoids it.
Steele fails with a takedown attempt.
Steele shoots in looking for a takedown. Sylva tries to sprawl out of it but Steele keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Sylva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Scott Sylva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tiger Steele.
Steele shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sylva as he jumps to the side.
Steele is breathing heavily.

Sylva connects with a nice looking jab.
Steele looks to throw the jab but Sylva is out of range.
Sylva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Steele is trying desperately to land a takedown but Sylva is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Steele.
Steele pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Steele walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Sylva feints with a jab and clips Steele right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Steele is sent crashing into the canvas and Sylva leaps in for the kill! Steele tries to get to his feet but Sylva is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Steele is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott Sylva!
Scott Sylva retains his bantamweight title!
