The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mindzatti shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mendeleev as he jumps to the side.
Mendeleev works Mindzatti's body with a nice hook.
Mendeleev throws a push kick but Mindzatti slaps the foot to one side.
Mendeleev moves in looking to clinch but Mindzatti pushes him off.
Mindzatti looks for a takedown but Mendeleev sprawls well.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mendeleev.
Mendeleev shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Mindzatti tries to lock up and control but Mendeleev gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Mendeleev blocks Mindzatti's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Mindzatti keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mindzatti regains half guard.
Mindzatti controlling the position well.
Mindzatti manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Viktor Mendeleev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mindzatti is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mendeleev sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Viktor Mendeleev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Georgio Mindzatti.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mendeleev.
Mendeleev throws a leg kick but Mindzatti sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Mendeleev darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Mindzatti is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Mendeleev is tapping! Great win for Mindzatti!
