The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Brenton's calf.
Ryan throws a push kick but Brenton slaps the foot to one side.
Ryan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ryan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Brenton counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Brenton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ryan working a defensive guard but Brenton manages to pass into side control anyway.

It looks like Rex Ryan has been cut.
Ryan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brenton on the ground.
Brenton content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Brenton works to advance to full mount. Ryan defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Brenton pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Brenton has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ryan's face.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rex Ryan's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
