Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Numero Nueve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glenn Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glenn Edwards has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Numero Nueve's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Numero Nueve! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Glenn Edwards! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edwards wants to clinch up but Nueve keeps it at a distance. Nueve swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Edwards drives through with a takedown into Nueve's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Nueve has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Edwards off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Excellent takedown into side control there by Nueve. Edwards is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Edwards is working to avoid the ground and pound but Nueve connects with a decent elbow. Edwards managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Nueve.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Edwards is looking for a sweep. Edwards tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Nueve is landing with strikes from the back. Nueve missing with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Edwards is trying to remain composed but Nueve is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Nueve is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Edwards up.
Edwards is trying to break free.
Nueve working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Nueve lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Edwards breaks Nueve's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Nueve tries to land a sweep but no joy. Edwards slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Edwards working away. Nueve is trying to improve his position. Edwards working away. Edwards tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Edwards has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nueve dodges the ground and pound from Edwards. Nueve is trying to control Edwards's posture but Edwards avoids it. Nueve tries to bench press Edwards off him but Edwards keeps the position. Nueve can't do much from the bottom here. Edwards creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Nueve is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Edwards working the body and head with strikes. Edwards tries to stand but Nueve is controlling his head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nueve manages to get back to half guard. Nueve manages to get to full guard.
Nueve wants to sweep here but Edwards controlling him for the moment. Edwards is fighting to break Nueve's control of his arms but Nueve is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Edwards postures up.
Nueve bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Edwards's guard. Edwards is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nueve is aware though and is defending well. Nueve is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Edwards is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Nueve connects with a couple of short punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nueve chips away with some ground and pound. Nueve loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Nueve has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Edwards is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nueve is aware though and is defending well. Edwards looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Edwards working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Nueve. Edwards can't keep his opponent in guard - Nueve advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Nueve drops an elbow to the side of Edwards's head. Nueve is trying for a kimura here. Edwards looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Nueve wins by kimura!
