With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bart Griffin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Griffin does it's job there.
Griffin throws a low kick but Redhair moves out of range easily.
Redhair jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Griffin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Redhair counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Redhair finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Griffin looks to land a left hand but Redhair moved out of range nicely.
Redhair connects with a right hand. Griffin shakes it off.
Redhair connects with a good right hand that stumbles Griffin. Griffin circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Redhair tries to close the distance and clinch but Griffin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Griffin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Redhair lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Griffin circles away quickly and effectively.
Griffin takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Griffin throws a nice looking combination but Redhair bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Richard Redhair is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Griffin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Redhair won't be happy with that.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Redhair parries the strikes from Griffin easily there. Griffin is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Redhair to escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Griffin postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Griffin is working Redhair over with some ground and pound from side control.

Griffin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Redhair keeps working.

That was a close round but I would say that Richard Redhair will probably get the nod.

Redhair rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Griffin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
