Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Corbett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grant Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nathan Corbett!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Grant Norris!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corbett ducks under a wild hook from Norris.
A slapping leg kick lands for Corbett.
Corbett uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Norris.
Norris throws a lazy uppercut
and Corbett counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Corbett moves into the clinch.
Corbett throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Norris blocks it with crossed arms.
Corbett prevents Norris from breaking the clinch.

Corbett escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Corbett fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Corbett slips under a jab.
Corbett moves out of range of the strikes.
Norris rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Corbett moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Norris pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Norris misses with a hook.
Norris looks to land a right hand but Corbett moved out of range.
Corbett tries to land a front kick but Norris steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Corbett closes the distance and clinches.
Norris is trying to break free.

Corbett is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Norris is keeping busy.
Corbett landing knees to the head.


It looks like Grant Norris has been cut.

Corbett ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Corbett no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Corbett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Corbett has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Norris accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Norris pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Corbett is keeping the position for now.
Corbett utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Corbett lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Norris!
Norris tries to hold on but Corbett postures up.
Corbett controlling the pace for now.

Norris tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Norris holds on for dear life.

Norris wants to hold on but Corbett pushes him away.
Corbett controlling the position easily from mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Corbett dives in and grabs Norris's left leg, looking for a takedown. Norris pushes down on Corbett's head and hops out.
The fighters circling - Corbett throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Corbett fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Corbett shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Corbett shoots for a takedown but Norris saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathan Corbett. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Corbett misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Norris.
Grant Norris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Corbett tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Norris paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Corbett looks to land a combination but Norris avoids it well.

Nathan Corbett is winning the standup battle so far.
Norris misses with an uppercut
and Corbett counters with a nice low kick that buckles Norris's knee momentarily.
Norris swats away the attempt to clinch by Corbett.
Corbett avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Norris lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like Nathan Corbett has been cut.

A right-left combo lands from Corbett.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Norris slaps away a takedown attempt from Corbett, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Norris lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Corbett circles away quickly and effectively.
Corbett tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Norris was well out of range. Poor timing from Corbett.

Norris throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Corbett slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Norris keeps the fight on the outside.
Norris misses with a two punch combination.
Norris throws a big shot that misses.
Norris on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Norris is breathing heavily.

Corbett fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Norris, pushing him back against the cage.
Norris working hard to break the clinch.
Norris is looking to break free of the clinch but Corbett has double underhooks.

Corbett breaks from the clinch.
Corbett uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Norris.
Corbett tries to close the distance and clinch but Norris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Norris takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Norris is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Corbett.
Norris scores with a jab to the head.
Grant Norris is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Corbett staying out of range there.

Corbett dives in and grabs Norris's left leg, looking for a takedown. Norris pushes down on Corbett's head and hops out.
Norris lands a glancing blow to the side of Corbett's head.
Norris stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Corbett.
Norris missing with a left hand there. Corbett was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Corbett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Corbett lands a left and a right that send Norris crashing to the mat, dazed. Corbett thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Norris gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Nathan Corbett!
