Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Victor Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Combs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Combs is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Break Stuff. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Victor Dos Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sean Combs! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Combs misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dos Santos throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Combs counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Dos Santos fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Dos Santos looks to clinch and Combs counters with a single leg into guard. Dos Santos didn't expect that. Combs gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Combs fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dos Santos sprawls well initially but Combs persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Combs controlling the action here. Combs stands up out of the half guard. Dos Santos tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Combs manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Dos Santos swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Combs counters with a right hand to the body. Dos Santos is breathing heavily. Combs shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dos Santos's guard. Combs looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Combs with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Combs keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dos Santos's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Combs seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Combs is in close to Dos Santos's body, working some short punches and elbows. Dos Santos has momentary wrist control but Combs slips an elbow through the middle. Dos Santos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Combs keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dos Santos's head. Combs lands a couple of digs. Combs stays in close to Dos Santos's body and controls the position. Combs with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Combs works a leg free and moves into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Combs stands up from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Combs feints and as Dos Santos raises his hands in defense, Combs changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Combs sitting in guard here, content to control. Combs working some strikes from top position. Combs is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Combs has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Combs passes Dos Santos's left leg - he's now in half guard. Combs lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Combs lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Combs trying to control the pace. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Combs lands a nice short elbow. Combs controlling the pace. Combs working over Dos Santos with some ground and pound. Dos Santos looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Combs with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Combs postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Dos Santos to stand up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Combs closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Combs has clasped his hands together around Dos Santos's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Combs working the body and head with strikes. Combs has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Dos Santos is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Combs yanks on the arm and Dos Santos is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Combs.
