The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheung Pak looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Cheung Pak persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
Cheung Pak throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

and Cheung Pak counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that.

Cheung Pak tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cheung Pak has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Silva sneaks back into half guard.

Cheung Pak takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Cheung Pak postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Silva looks a forlorn figure.

Silva is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Silva lands a nice short elbow.

Cheung Pak ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cheung Pak no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cheung Pak is on top in guard.
Cheung Pak pushes down on Silva's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Silva seems to have recovered his senses.

Cheung Pak has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Silva defend it? Cheung Pak steps over the head and cranks it - Silva is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Cheung Pak!
