Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miika Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liquid Hero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miika Masters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Liquid Hero! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Masters clinches. Masters has Hero pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Masters pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hero tumbling to the mat - Masters dives into Hero's guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Hero looking to hit a scissor sweep but Masters is one step ahead there. Masters wanted to stand there but Hero had control of the position. Hero wants to sweep but no luck. Hero escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Masters gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Masters controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hero looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Masters tries to free his leg and advance position but Hero is retaining full guard. Masters postures up.
Hero has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Masters has passed into side control.
Masters taking a breather here. Masters working the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Masters thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Masters working away. Hero is trying to improve his position. Masters looks up at the clock and then as Hero takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Masters smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Masters has control of an arm but Hero manages to advance to Masters's back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Masters trying to control the action but Hero just sinks the hooks in. Hero controlling well, preventing Masters from escaping the position.
Hero is trying to stick to Masters's back but Masters is turning into Hero. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hero's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Masters. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hero keeping full guard, as Masters tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Masters is stalling in the full guard. Masters wants to stand but Hero is controlling his posture from full guard. Hero looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Masters trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Masters controlling from the top position.
We're going to have a standup here because Miika Masters wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Masters closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hero circles away. Hero tries to clinch but Masters is having none of it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Masters has managed to clinch.
Hero wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hero tries to circle away but Masters has him pinned against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miika Masters dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hero tries to clinch up but Masters circles away and keeps his distance. Hero throws a right and a left that both miss. Masters is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hero sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hero tries to close the distance and clinch but Masters swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Masters forces Hero back against the cage and clinches. Masters lands a left hand that snaps the head of Hero backwards. A frustrated look appears on Hero's face as he tries to break the clinch. Hero tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Masters smiles and moves away.
Hero looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Masters fails in his attempt to clinch. Masters misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hero tries to clinch up and Masters makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Masters misses with a takedown attempt - Hero sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miika Masters. That's going to take a lot out of him. Masters clinches with his opponent.
Hero ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hero no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Masters showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Masters postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Masters content to stall in guard here. Hero striking from the bottom.
Hero pulls Masters in close to his closed guard and prevents Masters from doing any damage or advancing position. Masters with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Masters trying to control the position from guard on top but Hero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hero pushes Masters off and scrambles back to his feet.
Hero is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hero misses with a takedown attempt and Masters counters with a straight right hand. Hero misses the shot to the body. Masters tries to clinch and Hero counters with a head kick. Horrible takedown by Masters or perhaps it was just good defense by Hero which made him look bad. Hero tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Masters manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hero keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Masters closes the distance and clinches. Hero tries to score a body lock takedown but Masters shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hero tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Masters just stands there and leans against the cage. Masters is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Hero tries to break free but Masters pushes him back against the cage. Masters jumps guard and drags Hero to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Masters looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Masters on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Masters tries to get out of the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hero trying to control but Masters is working from the bottom. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hero throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Masters works some decent striking defense from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Miika Masters will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
A solid body kick from Masters. Masters fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Masters displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hero. Hero tries to clinch but Masters moves away and Masters counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hero won't be happy with that. Masters decides to stand back up. Hero tries to score a power double leg takedown but Masters sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hero somewhat. Masters moves into the clinch. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Masters manages to break the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Masters tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hero swivels and escapes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Masters looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miika Masters. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hero looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Hero doesn't manage to clinch there - Masters circles away.
Hero lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Masters tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hero paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hero gets a clinch. Hero is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Hero fails to pull guard.
Hero putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Masters in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Masters jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hero walks away with a smile on his face. Masters gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Hero moves into the clinch. Hero lands an elbow inside. Masters working hard to break the clinch. Hero ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hero no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Hero is looking for a triangle but Masters pushes his legs off easily.
Masters gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Masters closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hero drags the fight down to the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hero working a defensive guard here.
Masters is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Hero wriggles free and stands up. Masters shoots in and drives through. Hero sprawls well. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hero. Masters closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Masters escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Liquid Hero seems to be getting the better of the standup. Masters circles away from the clinch attempt and Masters counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hero won't be happy with that. This has been an exciting period of action! Masters decides to stand back up. Masters steps back and let's Hero get back to his feet. Hero fails to land the takedown. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hero fails with the takedown.
And that's the end of the fight! Miika Masters showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Masters, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
