Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ali Fernando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Lefleaur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lefleaur has chosen La Marseillaise as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Gordon Lefleaur has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lefleaur misses with a wild combination.
Gordon Lefleaur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lefleaur throws a good cross that connects.
No luck for Fernando with that takedown attempt.
Fernando misses with a takedown attempt - Lefleaur sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fernando does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Lefleaur misses with a wild body shot.

Fernando fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Lefleaur feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Fernando 's calf.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fernando stays in close to Lefleaur's body and controls the position.
Lefleaur really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fernando . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fernando passes Lefleaur's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fernando seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lefleaur does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fernando tries to pull guard but Lefleaur holds him up against the cage and eventually Fernando drops back down to his feet.

Lefleaur digs a right hand underneath Fernando 's ribcage. Fernando let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Fernando walks into a stiff left hand from Lefleaur.

Fernando is rocked!
Lefleaur cracks Fernando with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Fernando tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Lefleaur pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Fernando is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
