3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcus Tua! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Colosimo shoots for a double leg takedown but Tua sprawls well. He's pushed Colosimo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Colosimo slips a jab and a cross from Tua.
Colosimo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Colosimo moves into the clinch successfully.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Colosimo in particular looking to stall. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Tua pushes Colosimo off looking to stand but Colosimo dives back in and keeps control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Colosimo dodges the punch combination from Tua.

Colosimo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Colosimo scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Colosimo keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Colosimo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Tua should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Colosimo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Colosimo has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Tua. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tua defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Colosimo's arms. Colosimo controlling the position well here. Tua rolled but Colosimo kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Colosimo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tua's efforts to push away. Tua wants to get back to striking at distance but Colosimo won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Colosimo has a closed guard, preventing Tua from standing up. Colosimo is controlling Tua's posture. Tua is looking to stand up but Colosimo won't let him. Colosimo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tua wants to try and get back to his feet. Tua takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Colosimo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Colosimo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tua's face.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tua holding both Colosimo 's hands and preventing any damage. Marcus Tua has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jim Colosimo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
