The fighters circle momentarily. Esposito darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Veli creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

That was a close round but I would say that John Esposito will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Veli clobbers Esposito with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

That has opened up Pikku Veli's cut even more.
Veli uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Esposito.
Veli cracks Esposito with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Veli is breathing heavily.

Esposito breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Esposito counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Veli thinking.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Veli in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Esposito drops Veli with a beautiful combination! Veli stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Esposito is looking for the KO!
